| Our patient reported to the surgery when a large part of his left upper second molar had broken. On the first molar there was an old, short porcelain crown that did not seal.
Picture 1. Second molar is prepared for artificial priming.
Picture 2. Once the impression was taken, the dental technician prepared the artificial base with a pin. The pin was bonded to the tooth. The old crown was then removed from the adjacent tooth.
Picture 3. A pinned artificial base was found to be still functioning under the emoved crown.
Picture 4. After the proper corrections and more impressions taken, both teeth were covered by aesthetic porcelain crowns that sealed perfectly.
